"There is a tendency to think of change as the enemy. Many of us are suspect of change and will often fight and resist it before we have even discovered what the actual effects will be. When change is thought through carefully, it can produce the most rewarding and profound experiences in life."
-Marvin J. Ashton
Came across this quote today in that drawer full of stuff that never seems to end. Pretty grateful I did.

ray
Meet Ray. She's a fun time.
Raych Hole Norton is my friend that I met in August of 2011. Ray is my roommate. I must admit, Facebook stalking her prior to meeting her made me feel very intimidated. I thought she was going to be one of those artsy fartsy people who was too school for cool. Plus she was gorgeous and tall and skinny. {I was in trouble.}
But now I've gotten to know Ray Ray. I kinda like her a lot. She is such a good example to me with so many things. She is so outgoing and is so good at making friends. I love this girl. They weren't lying when they said you'd meet some of your best friends freshman year.

big brother
Whoa...
Apparently I have this tendency to not write for months at a time. My bad shorty... But that's all okay because someone that I kinda love a lot is coming home TOMORROW!!! That's right, my best friend/ big brother is coming home! Josh flies into the SLC Airport tomorrow at 10:35 am - not sure how sleeping is going to go tonight. {smiley face}
So, I guess you might get the idea that I'm kinda excited, yeah. Well, don't be mistaken: I'm COMPLETELY excited! Wanna know why? I'll tell you:
Josh and I were pretty good friends growing up. We had separate rooms, but I would sneak into Josh's room when we were punes and we would make a fort in his bunk bed and have sleepovers. It was a fun time.
Also, Josh and I were partners in saving the world! Josh was the Red Ranger and I was Yellow (because pink, of course, was waaaaaay to girly.)
Josh, Paige, and I would wrestle a lot on Mom and Dad's bed when they were gone. That was a fun time.
Josh was always the anchor in our family. Especially after Mom passed away, Josh was always so strong. He even spoke at her funeral. I would not have been able to do that. That's why he's awesome.
Plus, no matter how stupid I was with Josh and his girlfriend, he still loved me and showed me the way to be a good person.
So, it kinda goes without saying, but I love my big brother! The past 2 years without him have been different, but I am grateful that he was where he was. He is awesome. He is humble. He is a leader through example. He is all that a big brother should be.
